General Password Security Guidelines

In general, it is best to make each password significantly different than previous

passwords. A unique password that contains uppercase and lowercase characters as well

as numerals and symbols is ideal. Never share passwords across applications—that is, a

password that you use in vReplicator should be distinct from a vRanger Pro password. It

is best to avoid incremental passwords. Do not create passwords that include user or

company names. Avoid using complete words within passwords. Longer passwords tend

to be more secure than shorter ones. Change the password often. Write down each

password and store it in a secure place. Discard old passwords.

Before you create a password that includes ASCII characters, confirm that they are

compatible with vReplicator. The following ASCII characters are not compatible with

vReplicator:
